Z 1000 ST Front mudguard

#1 PostAuthor: Vendetta761 » Tue Jul 16, 2013 7:42 am

Front mudguard of an ST required, believe a Mk2 is the same but happy to be corrected if that is not the case [everything else on the ST is .0003mm different so no reason its not this time].

If there is anything else out there that fits please let me know, I can build up extra knowledge on the ST database....

mmm, rarer than I thought.
In that case, I can modify up another mudguard with a similar radius, seem to be a lot of specials out there with trick front mudguards but a lot of them are plastic, I was under the impression the Z solid number acted as a little brace so wanted sturdy metal.

Anyone any ideas for something I can butcher, I mean modify?

Depends on what you are trying to do V. But , i've had to put a chrome 1 on my z1r.
I was also told it had to be metal to act as a "brace".
You could always add a fork brace? The micron ones look good and keep popping up on here,(i've missed out on 2  )
Good luck, freddy

I have an aftermarket one, shorter then standard and painted.
Has some rust on inside. Not sure how useable it is. will get some picks up soon.

Thanks Freddy and Yeloow, at the moment i have one bike that will be a dry run bike only if i do not get some kind of mudguard on it, i know the original is solid and strong and acts like a bit of a brace ( I too have been hunting for a micron or telefix or similar but no luck so far) :??

If you have a spare one Yellow then biscuits and beer tokens can be made available, all in a good cause you know

If I cannot sort a mudguard then for the while it will be a dry run bike which may not be a prob, could look pretty mean but I think some kind of brace must be required.
Thanks for the replies, much appreciated
