advice on wheels

#1 PostAuthor: mikeyboy1966 » Mon Apr 13, 2009 7:59 am

Hi, new to the forum and already asking for advice! I've got a z1000 B3 Ltd and I'm looking at changing to spoked wheels. Can anyone tell me if the wheels from a z1000 A2 would be interchangable for disks/spacers/cush drive etc? Anyone done a similar conversion and got any tips. Cheers mikeyboy :D

change for z1000a2 wheels

Mikeboy,

Be aware that the Ltd runs with a different caliper to the A2, i have had an experience where is mistakenly used a Ltd rhs wheel spacer and found that on my A2 i could not tighten the wheel satisfactorily in place----it was obvious that it was not right and it was down to the spacer being about 6mm thinner--i think that the one i used first was the Ltd spacer.

It was easily sorted --i used the A2 spacer an dit was back to normal

There you go

Reecy, jogged my memory, similar problem first run out, can't remember which way round but couldn't do spindle up tight enough on ltd with a2 wheels. Can't remember which spacers.
