Hi guys I have a Z900 in lots of bits in the shed that will be worked on in the next five years (8 month old girl and 4 Yr old boy) what would it take to make this swing arm fit - anyone done it?

Hi. I've fitted lots of different arms into lots of different bikes. Could be a simple job if it's narrower at the pivot and the spindles the same dia. Just a case of some spacers and bringing the rear shock frame mounts out in line with the arms. If its wider then your looking at machining the pivot down and maybe sleeving the bearing tube etc etc. Some measurements would be helpfull.

You will need to extend the top shock mounts as the swingarm is wider at the bottom shock mounts. I have seen one fitted without this mod and the shocks had so much stiction due to being at an angle you could almost press down on the back and have a cup of tea before they rebounded.
