The road grime has got to the carbs, but you really don't want to strip them all down, and have the aqua blasted.... So what to do....

I got one of these and it works a treat, but you do need a powerful compressor.
I guess you could fill it with the Baking Soda ? When I use sand I get the Kiln Dried paving sand at about £5 for 20KG.

Carefull with sand lads illegal in blasting trade i am told, silicosis risk!!!!!!! if using make sure you use good mask!!!!!! i have one of these cheap ebay units trying out at momeny i have doubled my compressors up to give about 120 psi you are limited by your receiver tank size to how long you can blast though......i have made a blast cabinet up from a council re-cycle box with a couple of holes for your hands to go in and a simple wood frame with a perspex window on top works fine...

The underbody gun will spray sand I also used a dry sand (block paving) but I put it through a sieve first to get rid of the bigger bits of shell and the like, as I haven't got a cabinet I just stick on goggles and a mask and blast it out the back, it's a bit wasteful on the sand and you get covered in it, but it'll take just about anything off leaving clean bare metal.
