What quality workmanship, they are beautiful. :D :D

Imagine what you'd pay for them "off the shelf"  Doesn't even bear thinking about

Off the shelf they are almost twice what I'm paying. RF Biketech over in der Faderland sells 'em for 898 euro, which for me is about $1,300. Paul is charging me just under $800.

Meanwhile, back at the farm, the frame itself has been getting a little attention. Cleaning off the unneeded tabs and welding in the frame gussets.

Crap! I moved some pics around in photobucket and the links got cut. I'll try to put them back. Meantime, here're a few more on the frame and with the ZRX arm fitted.

I like what you have done with the top shock mounts. Are they adaptors that thread onto the original mounts or have you also welded on new mounts ? Any more pics of them or drawings as I'm doing the same arm swap on my J.

It is a combo of spacers and special nuts. MMmmmmm....special nuts! Just like mine at home..

I'll try to get more pics, and possibly drawings....

Pasc, here is the response I got from the machinist....

"I retained the original shock tabs and left them in the original position. I ran a die over them to clean them up and to run the threads to the shoulder. then machined appropiate spacers, then machined special long sleeve shock nuts that fit inside the upper shock sleeve and to the appropiate length so that the shock stays put while allowing upper eye body clearence, the steel shock sleeve is slightly wider than the rubber bushing and shockbody eylet allowing movement
with out binding.......will send pic of what the shock nuts look like, you can see how I taper bored the outside of shock nut to the stud area so that there are no un sightly threads showing, the threads do go the width of the shock sleeve ......"

If you look at the 2nd to last pic in my last post with pics you can see what he's talking about with the threaded nut.
