ZRX Swingarm

Gents, what mods does it take to fit a ZRX swingarm into a later Z, an 1100R for example :??

Is it nuts and bolts or is cutting involved ?
How does it effect chain offset ?

On a similar theme what is the easiest USD forks to fit ?

Just asking like......

USDs - either GSXR1100 or ZX9Rs seem to be popular...

Swinging arm is a straight fit, all you need to do is make a spacer for the spindle. Off set seems fine with matching rear wheel. You do need to get an offset front sproket.

I'm just fitting one to my J. Waiting to get it back from powder coaters next week and I'll post some pics of what I'm planning to do to fit it. You can buy bronze bushings off the shelf to act like a spacer. I'm planning using these and changing the bearing for correct ID version, although closest you can get is one mm wider so need to see still how to fit that and get the circlip back in to retain it. Don't think it will be too big a deal.

ZX9R upside forks are the way to go. They are longer than GSXR's etc and will work without either dropping the front end several inches, or needing slab yokes to gain a level ride. Those or ZZR14 forks are what most ZRX owners use to change to USD front ends. Plus of course, you keep it more Kawasaki than Kawa-uki :wink:

Zrx front end goes straight in upside downs wont look to good IMHO
