Neutral Switch Query

#1 PostAuthor: Tonto » Tue Jul 28, 2015 4:09 pm

Chaps - neutral light failed last week, changed bulb and no joy so took a look at the neutral switch and it was dangling in the breeze.

Problem is I cant seem to re-attach it and nothing in my service maual shows any detail of how it fit into the retainer. Have I lost a compnent that it should locate into ??

Any advice appreciated - Cheers Tim

It's knackered Tim

The switch body has cracked through and the guts have fallen out .

A flat bladed screwdriver will undo the threaded portion of the body from the motor .

A new switch then will sort it :(

Guys thanks, I hadn't realised it had snapped in two  .
I mistakenly thought the yellow hex top screwed into the main body -- doh !
I'll order a replacement from Z-Power tomorrow

Cheers Tim

Tim,
The plastic item is now NLA.
You will get a steel item as the replacement part that comes with a push on connector rather than the screw terminal.
Regards
Steve
