Hello all , new to the site , just got my first z , z1r , question , the bike has a very standard exhaust system in place , and have my eyes on a vance & hines 4-1 as a replacement (as see on e-bay ) want to keep the oem exh as a good standby and run aftermarket thru the year the bike is as far as i`m aware standard (air box -filter -carbs ), thinking ,what mods are req`d as the standard is a 4-1 ,and the replacement would be a 4-1 also , any help answers would be great ,Buzzy

Buzzy, I think the only "mods" that may be required, would be re-jetting and this would be probably only one size up. You may want to fit air-pods and there again, it may require some larger jets. That's the only mods you have to consider with this fitting of the V&H exhaust. You may find, and I think most likely, that nothing is required.

As for carb tweeking, as Garn says, may have to got up a size or twoas the standard pipes are quite restrictive compared to V&H
Mark.
Is that ?200 at the door or do you have to pay Duty and VAT on top of that?
Cheers
