left hand switch?

hi all can anyone tell me what this switch is off .took it off my z1a been messed with the dates correct but i thought they just had the white arrows on this date.cheers

It looks to be a tad later. By the looks of things my J has switchgear from a US-spec ST, which looks to be identical to that but with a hazard lights switch.

Has the HORN/PASS button been modified by having the extended section on the PASS side removed ?
If it has then your L/H switch assembly is identical to that fitted to the 1976 Z900-A4. The colours of the lettering, yellow & white is correct, certainly for that year too.

Date is on the bottom half perhaps the top was changed and re-wired.

But I have never owned an Anorak!! so don't know about z1's :lol:

doesnt look to av been modified but the button feels like it has bottomed out on the pass side just wondering if its off a h1 or h2

My 77 z1000 ltd had a similar switch unit no pass facility

ive just checked my z1b and a4...the switch looks like the z1b.

Sure my B is the same and has a build date of Sep 74 with frame and engine nos in 56000 range. Would Jan 74 be too early for that type of switch?

Guess it's not impossible for Kawasaki to have a stores problem and found a box of bits and just slung them into the production line.

They did tend to use whatever they had at the time.

Did I tell you many years ago I stripped the paint off a Z1A to find the green/yellow of the Z1 underneath.
