Parts wanted for A4

#1 PostAuthor: sprint » Wed Jan 28, 2015 3:09 pm

I am seeking a couple of parts for a Z900A4.

1. A complete 5/8" front brake master cylinder for twin discs. The type I am looking for has the solid aluminium body and the flat top cap with the stick on decal.

2. Pair of seat hinges. These are the type that have the handed (mirror image) brks spot welded to one side and are used with the 'L' shaped hinge pins, as shown in the link.

Thanks for reply and link.

It is my understanding that the earlier Z1's used the master cylinder with the dome cap with the cast lettering but the A4 used the type which had the flat cap with the stuck on decal as in the link? It is also my understanding the caps are not interchangeable?

Thanks for the reply and link.

I had seen these on the Z-Power site but they have the side brk on the same side instead of being handed? Not really a major problem but would like to get the handed ones that were fitted originally if I can as in the link:

This the DS link for the £29 version which they list as being 14mm so only suitable foe single disc?

https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB7 ... rt_123912/

My understanding was they they only do this MC in the in the one size, 5/8" so is DS just simply charging more for the same part because it is sold for a twin disc?

5/8=0.6250=15.88 MM.........So the 14mm one is too small for the twin set up.

Spoke to DS.

There are two different MC's they do, one for single disc set up and one for twin disc. However, it is not possible to get any kits for the repro ones, you have to throw it away if there are any problems and buy a new one.

Also, the original type flat caps do not fit the repro ones.
