Got the rear WP shock back, very happy with the job.
As you can see the hose has been replaced, all the seals and rubbers, the spring has been powder coated and the reservoir anodised.
All for 164 pounds :D

As you might know the engine side of this project has been a nightmare.
I couldn't get a solid mount engine down here and then bought a GPz1100 motor thinking it would fit and it didn't.
Then bought a Z1000R motor thinking it was a solid mount and as you know its not!
Neil got me a motor but it was minus the head so I ended up buying a head from a bloke on eBay US, then he offered me the block so I bought that! I thought while its in the US I might as well get the head done and the block checked and if it needs it new pistons etc! That was the plan anyway
So I contacted Joe Hooper from Pitstop a few emails latter the head and block were on their way to his shop in Orlando!

One thing led to another and I ended up getting some hot cams fitted to the head, then the block needed new pistons due to the cams! I thought I might as well buy all the gaskets and service items from Joe so got these!

Then Joe mentioned a that I'd might as well get an engine from him, we did a deal which enabled me to pay for his services over a few months, so I bought one! Well the bottom end to fit my top end!

After reading a few post on here I think I have also got the mix right for a strong motor!

The motor the Neil got me will be stripped and rebuilt, but now I don't have to rush it and can look further in to specifications!

Here's some pictures :D

Its all down to the people at the other end and up to now they have been really honest and very helpful.

Neil from the forum has been spot on, I know I have asked a lot from him but he has been a true diamond and ultra helpful even tho he seems to work all the time!

Steve Harris has been great to deal with and I'd fully recommend Harris.

Even down to the company I'm getting to do the powder coating, once I'd rang them and explained that I was ringing from Australia they can't do enough for me.

I just hope things continue to tick along :D

Bit of trivia, on the 28th of this month I'll have done 12 months without smoking, the money that I use to spend on cigs have paid for this engine, how mad is that
