csr1000 carb change
Hi Guys, can I fit z1000 st carbs on my CSR1000 without any probs as the CSR carbs are diaphragm and st are slide I think, thanks $tevie.

OK thanks for that. I understand the changing manifolds bit but what has a J type head got to do with my CSR ? Are these the heads on mine ? and what do you mean by bored out 26's ? are they 26mm as standard and bored out to suit mine ? have to bear in mind I don't know a lot about the history of these bikes. cheers $tevie.zed1015 wrote:Carbs will fit as they are the same spacing. you will have to swop the inlet manifolds too and maybe muck about with the throttle cables fitment.
The ST's 28mm carbs (or bored out 26's) are the smallest you need to take advantage of the J type heads bigger valves.
