No worries! it's not hard anodising on these items, only a decorative coating which is sealed to resist corrosion.
Athough the actual components are hardened aluminium.

Done the deed and stripped the discs.
Also scored an XJR1300 front muddy on ebay which arrived today and will need some trimming and brackets make it fit

New tyres on also and one step closer to removing the wooden stand

Bit more progress.
Painted the rear caliper mount and got it all finished and fitted .

Image

This allowed me to fit the footrests, hoses and bleed the brake.
Bulky reservoir will probably be replaced by a short length of clear hose.
Image

Other side got new sprocket studs and nuts and is ready for chain fitment.
Image

Front end got the bars fitted and controls . R1 starter/kill switch now serves as Horn and kill.
Image

The bars were stripped of the gunmetal and repainted black.
Image

All this means i can junk the wooden stand and it's now capable of standing on it's own two wheels .

Couple of shots with the tank slotted on

Probably because you have the skills and the resources to appease that whisper (Z1OC members) in your subconscious

Going to put the cat amongst the pigeons here ... but I recon you should stick with the Alloy seat (Zed butt style) that you made.
