Z1R Lower Handlebars

Hi

I've ordered some Tarrozi Rear sets and would like to lower the bars by an inch or two on my Z1R to get a more aggressive riding stance. Obviously there's wiring going through the standard bars. Has anyone come across a suitable solution. Sensible answers please!

I put these lower and wider bars on mine , you can't go too low or you run into clearance probs with the left switchgear into the tank .
I've the small low tank on so it fine , bigger tank could be more of a problem .
I drilled these bars and fed my wiring back through them .
Saying all that I have now put standard bars back on
First pic shows the lower bars and the second shows comparison with a set of standards .

Renthal superbike bars.
They come in std or low.
I have the low and they are around an inch'n'half lower than std kwak and not any wider.
You will need to drill them though if need to hide the wiring (i didn't bother).
Mine are aluminium, been on fifteen years and the anodising is as good as new, think they may do them in chromed steel but not sure ?.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I used ultra low Renthals on my Hornet race bike a few moons ago and I can testify to the strength of them, but I wasn't sure about threading the cabling through.

I even thought about trying to fit clip-ons...but they may over-stretch the cables when the steering is rotated.

Ive just noticed that the change of bars might allow the opportunity to fit a better master cylinder arangement...happy days

Looking at the pics supplied, I think the lower bars look superb.

The standard ones look kinda hideous, a bit the the front MC arrangement!!!!!

have a set of bars Ive already drilled to take the wires its pretty simple to do the only thing you lose is the strengthening boss in the middle of the bars the they are somewhere between Z1Parr's and standard took em off PDQ co the didn't feel right

It's 2011 Ted at Yorks rally , i only took three or four pics all weekend and one of them was your and my Z1R's

I put lower bars on my z9 a week before going on a continental trip , thought it would be easier on the motorway. BUT it puts more weight on the front wheel so the steering suddenly feels heavier. I took them off again within an hour or so cos the disadvantages in loss of steering feel outweighed the comfort advantages.
