Been a while  but finally got me arse in gear and finished the front caliper mounts ....... not up to the skills shown by most of you lot, but I made it meself with a pillar drill, hacksaw & half round file.

Got a bit of 1/2" ally plate off eBay - Engineer grade suitable for the job & made a card template.....

Image

Cut the plate up roughly & started work with the hacksaw & file :!:

Image

..... then after a week of spending lunchtimes in the company workshop finished them......

Image

Image

I tapped the plate out for M10 x 1.25 bolts for the lower & middle fittings..... the middle one just needs a 9mm spacer each side... and the top hole is plain 10mm for a nut & bolt arrangement - luckily you can't really see them once fitted - but might have to trim them around flush with the calipers at a later date :P
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Been a while (again) :|

So......... as the front end is now 99% complete, t'was time I fitted it :!:

Also rigged up the rear end......

Now got a bit of a struggle with sorting out the rear shock.......

Image

need to make a plate up to fix it to the swingarm - and I'm gonna design it to be adjustable ride height.

Little bit more tinkering - added some incredibly light Harris clip-on's & started to suss out the rear shock fixing.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT MAKE THE SHOCK IS ?

Never have too many photo's

Thinking of mounting an alloy bracket on the top of the s/arm brace & using some M16 x 1.5 s/s studding & a bracket to connect to the shock - so it'll be height adjustable :!:

A quick guess for the shock is a Hagon.

Finally completed plumbing in the front brakes :!:

I got hold of a new Brembo m/cylinder a while back - think it was destined to a Ducati S/motard 1200 or summink like that :?: All the fittings are Goodridge s/s along with the usual braided hose, etc.

I'm quite pleased with how that worked out.... next was to fit the electrical tray. This is a Harris item made of fibreglass which I then covered with a sheet of hi-tech heat-resistant alloy.

Although there ain't much room, I should be able to squeeze the Dyna coils, reg/rec and fuse box in there

That's going to look fabulous Mark.

What colour do you plan to do the frame and wheels in?
