front sprocket washer

Hi all, I've just fitted a brand new sprocket washer bought from Z1 Enterprises and it got chewed up right away while tightening the nut. Could anyone advise if there is better holding type of washer (as pictured below) that fits Z1 shaft please?

you need to lubricate the surface of the washer with some grease + make sure you are not over tightening the nut

Agree with Z1bman, however, I find anti-scuffing paste the best, just applied under the nut contact surface. The paste or grease allows the nut to slip past the lock-washer without grabbing it and tearing the lock-tang in the small hole.

thanks for the tip z1bman and Garn, quite obvious solution but I didn't think about this... I'll try with moly grease today

Z Power do a self locking nut

Leave the washer in place, but use Loctite 243 on the threads when assembling, good stuff and it won't come undone. Buzzard

A thing I've noticed when using the nyloc larger nut that Mark T suggests, that sometimes, the nylon part of the nut, barely makes the important part of the spindle end, when using a sprocket with the washer for the o-ring chain.

thanks Gents, I've applied molylube on the nut/washer and loctite on the thread, all sorted now
