clutch help
On my little project z250, i have transfered the engine guts into a new crank cases without dismantling the clutch, I did however pull out the clutch push rod to put in new oil seals, when I have come to put back the housing cover with new cable from z power, with a diff part number?, there is a huge amount of slack even with all play taken up, it does not bite the clutch at all. any help please.
could the little ball bearing in the clutch have moved out or dropped in some way?

as you look at the cover from the outside ie as looking straight thru, the clutch release is at 25 past as a clock, yes anti clock wise on the screw, as it starts to bite ping it pops off the little lug inside, all sits nice but no tension ? i am baffled!

make sure the adjuster in the middle of the cable is fully wound in. adjust the handlebar clutch adjuster so that it is out about 10mm then adjust the clutch from the screw adjuster in the sprocket cover. remember to turn this screw back a quarter of a turn once it is starting to lock . finally put the required amount of free play by adjusting the cable
