OK - some of you are gonna think it wasn't such a bargain, but to justify, its hard to find relatively "un touched" bikes, and although its an LTD, its basically a standard Z1000A2 with different clothes on.

Came with MOT until Aug - no Tax, v. good tyres, c&sprox, fork stanchions, wiring looks untouched, frame paint pretty good, wheel unmarked, 22.5k miles......

The good thing is the frames are more or less the same (I'm 99.9% sure) unlike the later LTD (K1/K2 - CSR) which has been raked :??

This particular bike runs very strong & sounds v. quiet (mechanically) and still has the tool tray and original handbook!!! (no tools)

Not sure about the pipe - it has a cosha V&H plate on it and the end isn't a typical alloy KERKER insert :?: The discs show practically zero wear and the rest just ties in nicely.

Anyhow, after all that vindication - £1500 :P

OK Mikey - comment accepted

Anyhow, took her out for a spin, just as the snow started........ Bit awkward to start - most likely due to the K&N's, but once running she goes reall well, pulls cleanly and really takes off :P

I didn't give her a clean but I did remove the mirrors and grab rail (its a square shaped one) then swapped the shox, bars and seat ......

Whaddya think :?:

I was considering swapping the paint set for my old black/gold Z1000A2, but this one is growing on me..... so it'll stay for now

Heres a couple of shots of the "Vance & Hines/ Kerker" exhaust..... Easy oil change access and sounds real nice

That is really nice Piggy. I am normally an advocate of swapping the tank on these but I must admit I would be tempted to keep it as it is too. Maybe even put the original seat back on :?: :??

I like it and at £1500 its a steal.

Im sure it'll be even better when you've customised it to your own tastes piggy.

Went out for a spin on the bike today - did about 10 miles, after I spent 5 mins trying to start it from cold

Rides luverly - idles great - has a bit of a "hunting" flat spot on slight throttle when cruising along - also spits a bit from closed to part throttle.

After the ride I found the main earth lead from the battery was dodgy - it was connected with corroded wires to the frame engine mount above the r/h footrest, so re-connected it to the r/h rear engine earth point after drilling out the broken bolt & re-tapping - have to see how she starts next time.
