Number three is correct i believe at about 22 from memory, numbers one and two have the slides a little open and number four has the slide a little too closed, that is if youre readings are taken from the engine side of the carbs on the vacuum takeoffs' and not from the atmospheric side.

Make sure to reverse the gauges after final set-up to eliminate the possibility of faulty readings. Been tripped up recently by morgan carbtune hoses squashing in under vacuum!

thanks AL
yes the pipes were connected to the four vacume out lets engine side of carbs, i will be checking the slide heights and also have a little play with some adjustments in the next couple of days , also good advice on reversing the hoses
cheers AL

Al im not too familiar with the early type carbs and the choke arrangements but with mine you can use the vacuum gauges with a cold engine to balance the chokes. Makes starting more of a science and less of a lottery. Raising the question here then; are all the chokes fully home???
