Finally braved the cold to fit the front end & rear wheel
I will need to get Mrs puddin to give me a lift down this week end
( I need to invest in a bike lift next time)
I need to double check the tyre clearance, once the full weight is on the wheels & to finalise the wheel & brake caliper mount spacers.
The caliper is leaning in about 2-3mm. So I will have a bit of machining to do this week.
The front mudguard is sitting a little too high, but I have adjustment on the guard brackets.

I have to say - I was wondering how you were going to get it down - Mrs Pudding must be a mighty strong lass
I'd be scared to share a bed with a gurlie who could lift Big Zeds
Looking good. How did you make the tail piece?

Thanks guys,
I asked Mrs puddin this evening to give me a lift,
It was never really going to happen,
So my mate is coming over & I will hook up a chain block & web strop to lift & lower.
Ralph the tail piece was made from a plasma cut piece of 2.5thk aluminium,
I then used the press brake to form the shape.
The tail kick was done the old fashioned way "beaten" into shape over a frost sandbag.
Finally the return at the rear end was welded & dressed.

Well, Mrs puddin did come out to assist in the heavy lift
(she had the right jacket on James Jack Cranes)
The risk assessment was carried out by all parties & the method statement was read, understood & signed off.
Came down very easily although the garage roof rafter did creak a bit
No immediate issues with tyre clearance or chain clearance, so I dont think I will fit the chain slider at the moment.
Also trial fitted Daves (Exhaust craft) 4-1 underseat down pipes - fitted perfectly with a good half inch clearance from the sump plug.
Dave I will pm you regarding the link pipe to the tail pipes.I dont want to go the flexi pipe option, so this will need a couple of hard sized mandrel bent tubes.
Although I still need to remove the sump again as whilst carrying out the "heatshrink" on the cylinder studs, I got bored with using the wifes hair dryer & tried to speed things up using a desposable lighter
The little metal roller melted off & dropped into the sump, burning my finger in the process!!Bugger bugger.
