Odds on it clutch rumble - may stop with clutch pull in
Its often the back-plate cushioning springs that have loosened off, not uncommon.
Well balanced carbs lessens the noise.
OR
Could be the strater gear......
Remove L/H alternator cover & take rotor off (use streering head bolt) and check 3 x bolts holding starter wheel onto rotor
