Boyer problems
Has anyone had problems with a boyers electronic ignition black box going kaput??? Are they possible to test?? Thanks

You could always try it first to prove yours.

Thanks for the offer but the wiring loom on a bitsa I just bought has a Boyer black box attached still....happy days

Yes, fit a Dyna-S ignition system, loads better.
I've wired bikes for over 25 years and have seen plenty of Boyer black boxes f#ck up. The thin tracks can easily burn out. I used to solder new tracks in, very difficult but possible to fix.
Personally I would jumk it and go Dyna!

I must admit I'm not a fan of the boyer, far to complimented for what its trying to achieve, you only have to look at the relative simplicity of the dyna s.
I personally prefer the newtronics system but even that is overkill when the dyna S does it so well..........
I hear what you are saying but not my bike and we are working to a budget of......not a lot. At least it's running and we are back to where we started just need to track down this problem of running on three......
