Not a bad weekends work hope my new harness will be here for next weekend,found a good source for gs parts over in Holland and they are very reasonable. :lol:

Cracking thread !! nice to see another GS going back together and back on the road.
I have always run a GS thou as daily transport along side the Zeds since 79 / 80.
Hate to have to admit it but the GS motor is way stronger than the Zed for rally high mileage and ease of maintainance :oops:

Somewhere here amoungst the junk I have got a full size silk GS1000 advertizing flag which got " liberated " :wink: from the Heron Suzuki stand at the bike show in 1979 I will dig it out and post a photo of it .
It's not broke , just in bit's for a while !

Ahh the good old days , bike shows just aint the same these days :lol:
try the same stunt these days and we would probably land up with 5 years inside instead of a few freebies :shock:

It was one of the unwritten rules at shows back in those days, come the end of the show on all of the factory stands the only thing absolutly off limits were the bikes as for everything else if it wasnt bolted down then it was away :roll:
