
Al loaned me his 'top guide deflection tool' so I could check the inlet cam. As it happens, when this was fitted, it only altered the timing by a few degs.
Anyhow, the engines all back together & running.... but the f**ker still tends to hang up on the revs



The carbs are a bit out so will haved to spend yet more time fiddling

I checked the inlet rubbers (sprayed duck oil on them whilst running) and don't seem to be leaking.
Double checked the timing - was a bit retarded (33 degs BTDC) so set to 38degs.
Last resort will be to try another (standard) head & cams......

Gotta concerntrate on the Trumpet first coz its due for MOT 6 June
