Steering Damper

Thinking it would bolt straight on...it doesnt!! I have a mark 2 or Z1R frame. Anybody help with how i fit it please??

Isn't it supposed to connect between the front down tube angle bracket and the bottom yoke?

If there is no hole on the lower headstock area (often r/h side) you'll have to find a suitable place, that allows full left-right stroke of the damper... Then drill holes to fix a suitable bracket :wink:

Just to give you a very rough idea of what may be required, this is the Damper assy from the 'J' with its brackets and other bits attached.

This is where it was fitted on the right H/S before i took it off.
There are two captive nuts on the frame gusset plate on mine but dont know if they are original as the damper was fitted when i got the bike.
The arc of the damper rod ran very very close to the cam cover if i remember and the damper body is not that far from the tank.
Quite a difficult juggling act for the previous owner but it was managed. Just!!

Not really just now except the wants section.

I can bring it with me on Saturday and you could get it copied if its exactly the same as you need which i cant guarantee.
