Had a slight hitch with the tank :( . blasted the paint and rust off inside and out then washed it out with solvent which revealed some perforations on the left hand seam  . Ended up welding in a new patch and rewelded the entire tank seam. Left it overnight with some petrol in to see if i'd missed anything then took it to the sprayer. When i got there he'd just got a load of race bodywork to do so i got put on the end of the list. He's doing the front mudguard first then calling me to have a look and see if i'm happy with the colour then he'll do the rest, so would think it'll be another week before there's anything of interest to report.

Bought the donor bike with blower etc on 24/11/06, Scoured evilbay etc for the big bits i needed to get it on it's wheels then steadily put it together as and when i got the time. Should easily have had it finished last year but had a major incident that delayed progress for a while.

Been over to see the paint today, Simple yet awsome, Exactly as i imagined. Should have took some pic's but forgot my camera. Will have it on the bike in just over a week :hoo

It's Alive. "Yes" it actually runs. Decided to set the static timing and thought why not ?. Rigged up an auxilary tank with a cup full of juice and gave it a couple of prods on the kicker. Bloody hell  . Fourth kick. :o Didn't really expect that. Revs shoot up quicker than my mates ZX10R  . Gonna be interesting when i get the chain etc on. Doesn't want to tick over under 1500 rpm though but it's early days yet. Gonna be a beast :D

Here's a couple of paint pic's. Hard to get a decent photo in the workshop with all the lights. Hope to take some better ones once it stops raining and i can get it outside.
