Suffering a few problems latley! Parked up after doing a 50 mile run and noticed oil dripping along the swing arm and almost everywhere around there. I looked in the airfilter box and noticed oil sitting in there, obviously the breather is blowing oil in. So what´s gone wrong?
Again any help much appreciated .

Oil in the air intake
Lost in the desert somewhere
Hi Steve,
I did do that a while ago and you are right this did happen, but this time it´s been running a while with no top ups! So I guess something else maybe has gone wrong!

Hi Bigmac, as Steve R has said, check the oil level again, it's easy done to stand her up and take a look, just to double check, the only other cause I can think of is a build up of too much pressure in the crankcases due maybe to something like blowby from the cylinders, have you had the a rebuild done recently or even new rings put in????
The oil level has vertually been the same for the last 1000 miles, no work done since 10,000 miles. I've just done the return trip 50 miles, and no sign of any oil in filter!! I think your right, a build of crank case pressure. Why this has I just can't put my finger on it, I will say the ol' girl does around 600 miles a week on average so she works hard. Apart from my snapping a couple of valves at Christmas and cooking a couple of dodgy coils she's run sweet as a nut. Perhaps she's just needing a bit of a holiday!!

Well hopefully it's nothing serious, the reason I asked about any top-end work is that if there is a build up of excess pressure then I reckon it would be due to gases leaking from the combustion chamber past the piston rings in one or more cylinders and therefore increasing pressure, either cos the piston rings are worn or after a rebuild they did'nt bed in and seal properly.
If this was the case then you would also be burning some oil too.
