Hi all.
Just introduced myself in the Newbies section and a have a few techy questions.
I have a 1983 Z650 F4 and fairly I'm decent with a spanner (from cars) but don't know much about these bikes other than what you would read in a shop manual.
What are the common issues or things to watch out for?
What are common upgrades or things to improve (not big mods).
Cheers.

aw come on you posted after bed time last night.
There are a few of us here who have them.
Try here for some info http://www.kz650.info/index.htm
Mods depend on what you want to achieve and the year of the bike. I have changed the ignition on my '78 and put chrome clock covers, Shocks changed to Koni's... bike is otherwise standard. My second 650 is under going some modification but no progrss at the mo

Def not on your own
I have a Z650b2 which I'm mostly not rebuilding at the moment because the sun's been out and I've been tootling around on my wee Z550 instead. Not that I don't want to get the 650 done, it's just that it's in about a bazillion bits at the mo and 550 isn't.
Anyway, enough rambling - good luck with the 650.
