Thinking about investing - just to clean off smaller mainly Ali components - not the big stuff.
Here's the spec:

The CFM rating for the 950 is 5 - which is quite modest for blasting - so just wondered whether it'll do the job without driving me mad cus it's too slow.
My compressor will deliver 9cfm free air, so any recommendations for a higher grade unit would be welcome. Can't consider the bigger Sealey SB951 cus it needs 12cfm.

DIY Blast Cabinet - Sealey SB950 - Any good?

Mate of mine bought one of those. Absolute overpriced plastic rubbish. Leaked grit dust and perspex screen soon gets etched so you can't see whats going on inside. Ended up buying a decent blast gun from local tool shop and building a steel ( but ply would do ) cabinet for him with a toughened glass window for the same sort of money. P.s. Really need at least 14cfm for a half decent and relatively quick job.

Oddly the Machine Mart version looks better made and is cheaper.

I've been wanting one for a long time, but am very skint at present so it'll have to go on the back burner

Blast cabinet
Hi Built mine out of a plastic water butt with replacement screens and got some fantastic blast medium from the local blast cleaners.
My compressor is 150litre tank at 15cfm and that sometimes struggles and does work hard. I also had a vacuum cleaner hose in the tank running some time to take the dust away.
