z1000 eletric problems

here we go. the new alternator is a dud. got it a week a go from electrex world, has anybody had problems with these before? got it checked this morning by a motorcycle mechanic with in 5 min he found the problem.

There should be continuity between each of the three phases (yellow wires) but no continuity between each yellow wire and ground.

Also, do you have a contact tel number for Electrex please, as I need to order a part anyway and there website isn't working and there is no tel number on the net.?

hey big fluff ya got it bro. there is continuity between each yellow wire and ground. problem sorted. just have to post the dud back and get replacement. but cant find recite. mechanic said he had some problems with electrex world alternators before.( thinks there made in china) but it said made in England on box. :?:

Hope you get it sorted mate, I've always used Electrex and never experienced any probs in the past :roll:
