Does anyone know if i can fit a new seal around the gear selector shaft to stop it leaking, without having to take any of the engine apart.
Thanks Archie

GEAR SHAFT SEAL

Just about to do this myself on 2 of my bikes, Just by looking at the bike and not consulting manual I was going to take off front sprocket and remove the transmission cover to replace seal, also going to change the clutch and output shaft seals at the same time, or is it easier than this?

You just need to hook the seals out, No need to remove the cover, even the output is easy as there's plenty of room for a meaty hook once the distance sleeve is out. Then a bit of tape or clingfilm over the gearshaft splines and plenty of grease or oil so the seal doesn't tear. Then the seal should just push in with your fingers.
