Old Frame New Suspension

#1 PostAuthor: martinz1b » Wed Jun 03, 2009 1:44 pm

I have been offered most of a rolling chassis of a Z1B for a reasonable price but it needs serious money spent to get it back to standard. So my question is this.

What is the easiest way to put a front and rear end onto this frame from a more modern bike, I would prefer to use Kawasaki parts to keep it within the family so to speak. I need something that does not involve altering the frame to fit a swinging arm if possible, I realise that it would involve getting special sprockets for the rear and extending the top shocker mounts to match up to the wider arm etc. I really like the look of the ZRX11/1200 swinging arms, but as I like them I suppose they would be hard to fit :(. Also is there any way that a front end would fit straight on the head stock with the donor bikes yolks being used.

Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Mart

Thanks Baza, I am just collecting information and advice before I decide if I am going to buy the rolling chassis. That lot would probably suit the bill though.

I still have my own Z1B to get going first

Cheers
Mart
