Zapo you are right, the tubular mounting that was underneath the Piper about 11 to 12 inch from the end fitted to the original exhaust mounting point, this did cause trouble with certain footwear

Could it be a lazer i had one on a gs 750 many years ago lookes sim to piper but would say better quality

The photos are not the best , the battery went flat on the camera

Have got a few other obscure pipes here as well so I will try and dig them out and post the same info regarding the spec of them as well.
From memory there is a Sebring race pipe , a Bassani race pipe and an old Racer 1 pipe as well.
