Yep,
I definately am scratching my head (no pun intended). I had forgotten just how bored I was 25 years ago!

Ginger Bear,
you can see a few more bits of my best attempt at engraving on the other cases too, the remainder was scribbled on in preparation and I am not convinced I will finish it yet, may just buy replacement cases where I can, dunno?

BunnysZ,
Z1a1 I am told, I have seen Mikey somewhere on here and I will be asking him about polishing, (and searching for a chromer if anyone on here can recommend a good (great) one) when I am sure how much I want done. Colour when I had it first was white but that was a poor home job, I have the frame stoved pearl silver, but the overall was going to be Black, pearl silver and chrome, still may be not decided yet!

Pigford & Z.O.A,
Thanks for the encouragement guys!

Colin, keep the engraving. I think it is a good thing when people restore/rebuild their bikes as they would have 'back in the day'.
As for chromers, S&T in Yate nr Bristol are excellent... Just not cheap & a six week turnaround, but then you can't rush quality....... unless you're called 'Mikey', of course!!

PJ, where do you meet? I will try to get up soon as I can to say hello but I will be away from home this Monday & Tuesday with work, not likely to endear me to the wife if I push a Sunday afternoon as well! How often do you get together? (Piss poor excuse I know, but true!)

Thanks Ginger Bear, I will have plenty of time to do this so 6 weeks is fine, quality every time if I can afford it! I just have to sort through and then bargain a price, I recon there is quite a bit to do from memory and Box 1 content.

Bunnysz,
Hi, I believed I had a Z1A2 originally, I wanted to be dead on sure before buying parts and asked ZPower to check, gave them the stock no off the frame (KTZ00A024386) and Phil believes it to be an A1? For interest sake it has the round M/Cyl for the brakes. How else could I tell, the reg was DHG 647S IIRC (not opened that box yet and have no docs I can find). :??
