I want to get a set of GPz cases (clutch cover, rotor cover etc) finished, in a black hi gloss finish as close to the original as possible.
Only method I can think of is powder coating. Anyone tried anything different, or have any suggestions?

Hi GB
If you want durability and near OEM finish, get em blasted and 2 pack sprayed by Doug Cox. See my '73 resto' thread for pics of his work. Mine are done satin, but he's happy to do full gloss too.
Kawasaki didn't use powder coat on their motorcycle range - that was only used on their range of commemorative kitchen drying racks

GB, I've read a bit about PJ1 paint on a gpz forum. Thorough prep is vital, gloss is harder to obtain, but it gets good feedback.

Satin finish:- crankcases, barrels, head, rocker cover & gearbox cover
Gloss finish:- clutch cover, pulser cover & front sprocket cover
Might be worth a look.
