Absolutely stunning job so far. I noticed the finished switchblocks, did you re paint the red and white bits yourself? If so how did you go about it?

Hi

Take a look at the earlier pics of me redoing the crankcase DOHC badging. It's the same principle ie overpaint then wipe off. On the switch blocks it's a hell of a lot more fiddly!!

Use enamel paint with lighter fluid to remove excess. That way you shouldn't disturb the underlying black paint which will prob have a cellulose base. 2 pack is the best choice if you can find it.

Well here it is - the money shot.

Turned my first wrench on 25th October 08, so I make that 6 months and 1 week from start to finish. For me that's lightening quick - last one took 15 months.

Finally rolled her out of the shed at 5.23 yesterday afternoon. She needs a tune up and a new master cylinder, rear footrests to go on and I'm done. MOT on Thursday if I can sort out the brakes in time.

Have to say I've been grinning like a Cheshire Cat for the last 24 hours, can't wait to get out on the road!

I'll post some more stuff on detail soon but, in the meantime, here she is:
