I've ordered up a set of Metzeler ME880 tyres for the Z - just wondering if anyone has used these and if so what do you think of 'em ?
Also, I have read a cpl of memebrs use the BT45's - what other tyres have you guys used and what do you think of them ?
Last year when it was time to re-skin the Z, I put on a set of Dunlop GT501 Arrow Max's. These are a V rated tire. They have a nice tread pattern and when new handled very nicely. Problem with them is their lifespan - pretty much only 5000 kms and they are done...well at least the front one is. Tire pressures were always checked and maintained. By way of comparison, I have Michelin Pilot roads on the ZX9 which now have covered more than 8000 kms and they are no where near done with. That bike sees far more.....uh... "spirited" riding than does the Z.
