That bike went for about £11,750 in real money, it's the one that the guy managed to remove all the vetter gear and change the tyres without undoing any nuts and bolts it's a stunning bike though and the best I've seen, and although it went for a small fortune if you compare it some of the RWHS bikes - well I know which one I'd lay my money down for and it would be in dollars.

Hadn't seen it...but, at a glance it has a poorly restored tacho, after market speedo, wrong horn, tach cable and mirrors, got bored after that...I'm sure others will find much more wrong. I suspect the indicator lenses are new over the counter Euro lenses. A reasonably nice resto but I would be careful if using this as a basis to identify what is correct and what is not.

well i live and learn gbh, i had been using that for a reference, except mine is the z1a.

for the purists, as well as GBH comments, I think the following are wrong
throttle cable (081 one)
front tyre
headlight
brake / clutch levers
swing arm t-piece retaining bolts should be black
meter cover retaining screws should be black
indicator lenses are Stanley but later ones
Not sure about master cylinder and choke lever.
Sure others will pick up a few more.
Nice bike though, wouldn't mind it in my Kitchen either.

There's a lot of restored bikes around, some good, some not quite so good when you get close.
I guess however careful and accurate people try to be when doing a restoration or re-build, there is always going to be someone who can spot something that isn't right.
I know some people use brochures to get their "restoration" correct, but that doesn't always mean it is accurate, due to pre-production models sometimes being used for publicity purposes.
Once a bike has been re-built, it isn't "original" anyway.
