Thanks Paul, I've been very lucky, there's a bloke up the road from me who hoards classic Z stuff which made it easy for second hand bits to re-furbish, he found a right hand original H (injection) side panel brand new for Ollie. And i work in an aerospace engineering factory and they have everything you need to restore an old bike, but they don't know that, Ha Ha. Beat of luck with yours, if your stuck for anything PM me and i'll see if matey has what you need.

HELP! Hello guys, I hope there is someone out there that is able to possibly know what's wrong with my H.
Two weekends of happy motoring and not a fault, it started to missfire and die on me. It seemed better at higher revs and then at lower revs would misfire and die again and some times would have to bump it as i was rolling along. Pulled over for a few minutes and it was ok for a while and it would start again. I managed to get home and let it cool down and started it again it would only run on 3, switched off had a fiddle a tried again, now it wont start at all.
I changed the leads, plugs, fuel filter had the coils checked and changed them anyway, changed the IC Igniter, checked the fuel pump and fuel is pumping and i have a spark. I borrowed 2 black boxes and tried them and still won't start, so i bumped it down the road. It started but ran rough popping and farting and the occasional flame. Please any ideas.
Thanks Archie

Archie, I am not famiar with the Z1000H, But I Have had a bit of recent experience with my GPz1100A2 ! Is there any sort of fuel filter fitted? They seem to be standard on the Jeepster's. Also what condition is the inside of your tank in? I had the tank on my Z1000 resprayed, but payed little attention to the inside, thinking that the petrol would sort out the odd spots of rust. I later found my carbs full of a 'gingery' sediment, so I then treated the tank with bio-rust, then a tank liner.

Thanks guys, I thinks it might be a long old job checking everything everywhere. Yes i think the tank is fine but i did change the fuel filter as it had something in the bottom of it, (perhaps some new form of life). I don't know it feels like it could be electrical but also fuel starvation if you know what i mean. Bo@@$+ks thats all i can say.

Archie are you sure the air flow meter is functioning properly
ie. is the lid airtight
this can cause a misfire and even stop the bike entirely
I have a few air flow meters if you are stuck
I have seen more of these fail due to air leak's

Hi Paul, that's something i haven't checked. I've been looking at wiring most of today and found nothing yet.
Thanks Archie
