No I dont think I am one to quote every one, If you look back through my posts I think you will see I dont do that.

I would have thought my point was fairly obvious, you made a valid point in my opinion on the discussion thread about unnecessary dissent.
Then you go and make a stupid comment like that about what seemed to me a fairly sensible question. Kettle, Pot, Black, I think. :rake

i did look into this some time back with a very well set up engineering shop and they could not help as they said they had no line bore bars that small, i would have to get one made that would cost the best part of a grand to be made properly to suit the head so that was a bit of a non starter.if jerry knows of a place capable of taking this on i would be interested .

Pigford and i know where we stand with regards our posting nothing meant just good clean banter so maybe you should learn to read how members interact with each other before you jump in with an opinion!!

Why line bore? Have you not thought of just filling the holes with weld and re-machining the mounting holes to the new caps? Which will give forward/back alignment, it is a simple job to set the height correctly if they are a bit over.
