bakey mate, doesn't it depend on how long you expect to keep the bike, if a long time, have it what ever colour you like, live the dream, then green it over if that sells best at the time

I DONT CARE, IN OR OUT BUT IM ENJOYING THE DEBATE......................ARMSTRONG MT500. a pushbike, waves.....addict, no offence
well mines candy blue Z1b at the mo and to be perfectley honest that is my favourite colour scheme of all the zeds. Its a bit tatty round the edges though and the paint is a bit dodgy under the seat.
I plan to keep the bike for a very long time, as an ongoing project os slow affordable improvement. Im just a bit conscious that if i put a new exhaust etc on the paint will then let it down.
I do however have a complete Z900 paintset in a box in the garage - all genuine parts etc. I really like bigmacs blue one...i might go for that tbh. Then if i do come to sell it i can throw the original colour on then

There you go bakey,

In my opinion i like them in different colours but with the same style /shape of stripes, so it looks like it could have been a standard colour but a different option,
The blue one in the A4 style looks very nice and i remember seeing a red one in about 1977 in 'poulton motors' kawasaki shop near blackpool. At the time i thought it was a standard colour. I always liked the gt750A suzuki in metalic red with the black/silver stripes.
Jappens bike looks really nice, almost a very dark brown (maybe its just the photo), think it looks more sophisticated rather than the hooligan type, (if you know what i mean)
