Lads - i need to change a couple of shims,has the club got one i can borrow or can any of you help me?

I suggest you ring him, [number in club mag], as he isn't on the site too often.

Borrow mine.

Still available to buy in another form i believe from Busters if i'm not mistaken.

a lot of us have shim tools, vacuum gauges and fuel level gauges etc etc - we are a bunch of Saddos

Have all your flat blade screwdrivers broke... Thats what they are for.

Whereabouts in surrey are you ?.. if close to me I Have one or can show you how to do it the easy way.

I've also managed to find a shim tool half the price of z-power, same make too.

good stuff, I personally still find it just as easy with 3 drivers.. (Gotta be the rite size mind)

Lots of local bike shops will have shims that fit, my old one was a yamaha dealer years ago and they had a box of them Â£1 a time if the owner was in

If my local Yamaha dealer know what a shim is i'd be amazed. Popped in a while bike for 2 inline fuel filters, i got a blank look! :shock:

That dealer was selling bikes when they had kick starts and you didn't need a computer to change a light bulb
