Guys
Dynas don't seem to fit straight on to my Z1000A1 due to their shape in relation to frame and mount lug. What mods do you have to do ?
Thanks
Chris

Hi Evans
This link might be useful

Also thinking of this mod myself, although alternatively I have also considered replacement (non dyna) coils offered by the likes of Z power.
It seems installing these would save a lot of faffing about as they should just fit straight on.

Evans, you may wish to try "right-angle" lead attachments to the coils, as the normal leads, with the coil "spouts" [high-tension outlets] pointing front and upwards, tend to make the leads occupy too much room in the horn area and tend to make them, with their natural curve, far too long.
I've been trying to work out a way so the "spouts" point downwards!
RegardZ.

Cheers all.
Sussed that if you point the high tension posts forward and use the last hole on the mount then they just fit on existing frame bracket.
Now have Dyna S ignition, Dyna 3ohm coils and Dyna leads, so hope to be able to light a bucket of p*ss (to coin a recently usec expression) with the system. Those that followed my recent thread of None Starter may recall my recent problems, hopefully new coils will solve the problem.
Thanks
Chris

Once the coils were fitted tonight, as per your suggestions, on top of the mounting plates with the high tension posts on top poiting forward (Z1RT311 - thanks for the link to Pigford's photo in previous of a previous thread) she fired up straight away, what a spark !!!. Thanks for all your help. Now just need to solve the petrol tap leak with a replacement tap.
Cheers all, just having a beer to celebrate her being back on the road !!
