RATHER STIFF - Must try harder

#1 PostAuthor: Pigford » Sun Mar 08, 2009 4:31 pm

As I've been tinkering in the garage again today, I wheeled the Lawson down the drive for a few photo's in the sunshine :P Then I ran the bike up and went to ride it back up the slope...... but the clutch was stiff as buggery  In fact it wouldn't pull in at all

After a bit of phaffing around - sprox casing off..... It turned out that where I had routed the cable, it had been touching the exhaust & even though it has a spring round the case, it had melted away & must have gummed up the cable, through the spiral outer metal sheath :??

Thats one brand new clutch cable shagged then
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
