Sorry to disappoint but confined to barracks at moment. Had a little incident with a gas heater, third degree burn to back of leg, skin graft and not allowed to walk far - means Baz n Big Green Bus get to go bargain hunting alone. Hoping to make Scotland tho - be sat in corner of the stand with leg propped up and Baz will have to keep fetching me cups of tea and assorted nibbles (be going thirsty and hungry then!)

As I only venture into the garage bearing cups of tea n biscuits Barry was blameless in my latest adventure.

I was actually in the judges' box at a horse show, stood up to leave, forgot that there was a high powered gas space heater behind me, turned round and jeans were ablaze. Thing was cos it was a third degree burn I didn't actually feel any pain and it was 2 days later that I went to GP. Duly sent to local A & E, then to the burns clinic at RVI in Newcastle and then hooked up to a drip for 3 days and then 7 cm x 5 cm skin graft and 3 more days in hospital. Been confined to sitting on settee with leg elevated since then and obviously Barry has pandered to my every whim - NOT!!! However just got back from hospital who said I can start moving around a bit more so I reckon that means I can go to Rufforth - don't know if that is quite what they meant but what the hell you can only watch so much daytime television.

Barry's sympathy extended to saying "Well I told you horses were dangerous" !!!!!

He does have a point there Jan, never trust anything that you cannot control, I suppose you could put women in that category as well!!!

Hope you get back on both feet soon.

He doesn't like horses cos its something I can do better than him. Male ego or what. Horses like bikes are only dangerous when being operated by people who can't control them.

Also don't also class all women as uncontrollable either. I know my place : provider of tea n biccys to the garage all winter while Baz was in garage working on the bike; finder of parts n services required for Z1r restoration and going out shopping when bike racing on television so he can watch it in peace. You obviously going wrong with the initial training course Rich

Yeah but only to move over to the oven. Actually I got a dishwasher which allegedly doubles as a parts cleaner but I think he was just winding me up when he said that.

I heard dishwashers are very good for cleaning crankcases so have put one on top of the new kitchen list

If he would buy me a new kitchen he could have the old dishwasher to wash as many bike bits in as he wants.

Back to the original thread:

Talk about the early birds - what time did you intrepid lot get there? Lets hope you got lots of bargains. Big Green Bus got best one of the day though. Saw a guy carrying a wheel for a Mk II Z1000 stopped to talk to him and as the guy had only paid £8 for the wheel he was happy to sell BGB the discs for £5 Bargain or what.
