1977 Z1000. Bike just cut out. No spark at plugs, not much spark at points, very intermitent, battery fully charged, no obvious break in circuit. Any ideas ?
What is best electronic ignition system for it ?
Cheers

Guys
Still no spark. Have fitted Dyna S ignition.
Have checked soldered joints at iginition switch, seem ok.
Have voltage at junction between coils and Dyna.
Seems unlikley that both coils have gone ?
No obvious break in connections.
Earth from battery ok, batteru voltage seems ok.
Any ideas ?
Cheers

What voltage do you have at the coils?
Would you say that fitting the Dyna has altered anything ie do you still have the same fault?
Wire feed straight from battery to coils (preferably with a switch in but you can just cut the wire to turn off) for test purposes. this will eliminate any loom / switch problems and let you know which part of the system you have trouble with.
