on the bottom of the Z1 Z1A air box pointing at nos2 outlet from the carb is a little arrow.
does anyone know what this is for . is something supposed to go there.

If it was on a harley dumperson it would be to tell you which is forward so you know which way it fits so they cant be taken to court if some numpty fits it back to front

Cant say as iv'e ever noticed it and cant think what its for. Though i still find it hard to belive the hole above the ignition key is a key holder.

I understood it is to indicate the positioning of the crankcase air breather tube before the glue sets
Don't know if that's right but you have to set that tube towards the arrows direction so it fits correctly on the crankcase vent, I think. I say I think as I' haven't put the airbox back on my Z1A rebuild to prove that theory yet. KP

My understanding of the "key holder" hole is that the key fob (plastic strap) is placed into it, rather than rubbing on the dash?
