wheels,speedo,rev`counter and ratio ?

#1 PostAuthor: Keefleaf » Tue Feb 24, 2009 10:26 pm

Is it possible to convert a Z650 speedo to 160mph from 140 mph?
If the front wheel is the same size then it must be possile to get a speedo
face sticker, [BIG FLUFF],and convert?..Is it?
The Rev counter only goes upto 10,000rpm,but who`s looking? At those revs, you should be looking where your going :)

You need a set like this making up to enable the speedo to work correctly.
PM me and we'll go from there if you want a set making - Whatever colour/style you like.!

Big Fluff, that's very interesting stuff you do there. I am running a 17'' front wheel, with a ZX7R speedo drive. I know the speedo is very innacurate because of this. Can you produce a clock face to compensate for this? I know the 'recorded' mileage still wouldn't be accurate, but that's no big deal.

Yep, can do anything you want.
You give me an idea of what should be where and I'll make a set up for you.
PM or email me with your findings etc.
Will.

Will,
That sounds great. I would like to source another set of clocks first (not gonne be cheap, I know) Then I will run with a GPS speedo or similar to see where the numbers need to go. Will PM you when I've done me research.
