screen for fairing

#1 PostAuthor: Mick Hayward » Wed Feb 25, 2009 10:38 pm

Hi all, more help please

Purchased a small gpz style fairing on ebay the other day. It has a round headlight hole. Unfortunately it has no screen. I thought it would be easy to find one. Not so.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get one.

Thanks

Mick

Mick

I have a bikini fairing from my old 1984 Z750L3-4. It has a square headlight hole but it does have a screen that might fit. I'll see if I can get a photo or two tomorrow.

Bought one recently from Busters for a round headlight Gpz style bikini fairing. Its not listed in the catalogue but they had it when i phoned them just the same.
It was / is tinted and cost about £17 delivered from memory.
You would need to phone them for this i think.

Mick, give Skidmarx a call. Think they used to do a replica bikini GPZ fairing. A google search should find their number.

Hi Mark

looks like it might be similar. I'll get it out of the garage tomorrow and have a closer look. I'm pretty sure mine has seven bolts as yours has.

Mick

Hi Mark

Difficult to tell. It has the same number of fixings and looks like it might be pretty much the same. Only real way is to try it.

Mick

I actually work in Salisbury on the Andover side (just off the A338) so I could come home your way on Monday night and drop it in for you to try or we could meet somewhere in between. Let me know.

Hi Mark

I live in Grateley, close to the 338, I travel frequently to Salisbury. If it's convenient for you I could meet you Monday lunchtime at your work address. If you would like to send a PM with your address we can get together.

Thanks and Regards

Mick
