Ground cable on a 78 1000a1

On the right side of the engine there is a ground cable that attaches to the motor right be the engine mount. There are two cable crimped together a thick ground cable and a black wire with yellow stripe. What i need to know is where to i attach the ground cable to? Does it attach to the negative on the battery? Any pics would really help.

just had look on my z900 and it goes to the battery
